PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Pervaiz Khattak has praised the police of his province by terming their performance as ‘exemplary’ while announcing a raise in their salaries.
The Chief Minister said he is proud of provincial police as hundreds of policemen laid their lives for security of the people and remain steadfast to their task.
He announced incentives and measures for improvement in the KPK police.
The CM KPK clarified that all the recruitment in police will be done on merit.
He said that all the police system will be computerized and pledge that anywhere they see any room of betterment then it will be provided to the police.
Chief Minister informed that to make patrolling and vigilance more better, 50 million rupees have issued for the buying of sniffer dogs .
Regarding police service, he stressed upon the need of making model police stations and asked policemen to serve the masses well
Khattak also showed concern over lacking investor interest in KPK .
About the Taliban issue, he repeated his party’s stance of achieving peace through dialogue.
