ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has unveiled the purpose of 1.5 billion dollar gifted by friendly countries, all the amount will be utilized in development projects in the country.
This was unveiled by Ishaq Dar during an interview.
Highlighting about development projects, he said the amount will be used in infrastructure, energy, railways, communication and transportation sectors related development projects in the country.
He said the gift proved that trust has been bestowed on Pakistan government by our friendly countries.
Citing, Japan External Trade Organization conducted survey, he said Pakistan ranked as the second growing economy in the world.
He also quoted renowned economist Jim O’Niel who forecasted that Pakistan would be 18th largest economy of the world by 2050.
He also gave good news of strengthening of Pakistan’s currency further in few days.
The finance minister regarding tax collection said it was increased by 17.7 percent as compared to last fiscal year.
