Taipei: As Taiwanese technological giant HTC is eyeing to launch its flagship smartphone HTC M8 or HTC One+, now device emerge online once again.
We have seen the device leaked on numerous occasions now it makes way through French website Nowhereelse alongside HTC One MAX.
The image comparison show the size difference and other features of the device. The HTC One successor, dubbed the M8, hasn’t exactly been the world’s best kept secret. The purported handset has leaked on several occasions over the past few months, with various images and reports claiming to reveal the smartphone’s features.
Adding up to the excitement ahead of the big unveiling, the handset has now appeared in a retail listing from a reputable retailer, revealing the smartphone’s specs and price.
After seeing images allegedly showing the device for AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the U.S., well-known UK retailer Mobile Fun has now put up a listing for the “HTC One 2014 M8,” The page shows the handset in a darker gray shade compared to the HTC One, and also lists the device’s specifications. It’s worth noting that MobileFun used one of the HTC M8 images @evleaks recently leaked.
The listing shows the HTC One 2014 M8 with a pretty hefty asking price of £579.99 unlocked. On the other hand, while the price tag may seem quite steep, it’s less than the £599.99 unlocked price the new Samsung Galaxy S5 recently popped up with.
In terms of specifications, the purported HTC One successor is listed with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz under the hood. The listing further mentions dual 5-megapixel rear cameras, which could mean the device will come with twin UltraPixel rear cameras, as previously speculated.
Other purported specs include HTC BoomSound, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi, as well as a “refined design for improved results.”
“With a sleek silver aluminium body, a live home screen that streams all of your favourite content, a beautiful 5″ 1080p display, and dual frontal stereo speakers, the HTC One 2014 M8 is ready to reshape your smartphone experience,” reads the description on Mobile Fun’s web listing for the device. The retailer notes that it expects stock in two months.
Keep in mind, however, that this listing is by no means official confirmation, and nothing is for certain just yet. Until HTC itself unveils its 2014 flagship smartphone, take all such leaks, rumors and speculation with a grain of salt.
