Islamabad: The government is ready to increase the production of Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) upto 600,000 tons.
According to the ministry of petroleum and gas, Makhory Gas Field will supply 195,000 tons of LPG from next month.
At present, daily production of LPG is 300 tons which translates into five hundred eleven thousand tons annually. From March, Makhory gas field will add almost two hundred thousand annually.
Consumers believe that even after discovery of fresh reserves, the LPG retail prices will not drop from Rs 100 per kg level.
