KARACHI: At least four people were killed in firing incidents in different areas of Karachi on Sunday (today).
Three persons were killed as two rival groups opened fire on each other in Jhatpat Market, Lyari.
Some unidentified gunmen entered into a mosque, named Jama Masjid Khyber, situated in Qasba Colony, Orangi Town and killed a man and injured two others.
According to local media reports, Police arrested one of the gunmen in injured condition. The dead body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
On the other hand, Rangers arrested twenty five suspects during targeted operation in different parts of the city and recovered 42 weapons.
The suspects were arrested from Bhittaiabad, Mehran Town, Bilal Colony, Gulzar Colony, Model Town, Baloch Goth, Mianwali Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Shah Faisal Colony areas.
Arrests and killings have continued side by side in Pakistan’s economic hub since the start of Rangers and Police led operation in Karachi.
