Jammu: A Pakistani prisoner from Sialkot, Shaukat Ali, was found hanging inside a jail in his barrack in Amphalla jail of Jammu district early this morning.
A Pakistani prisoner was Saturday morning found hanging inside a jail here, an official said.
According to Indian media report, Ali, an undertrial, was found dead at 4 am by the prison officials this morning.
Ali, a resident of Sialokot in Pakistan, was reported to be mentally ill by the officials, the report said.
The reports further said that he was arrested by the security officials for moving suspiciously along the International Border (IB).
The body of the deceased has been taken to local hospital for post mortem examination.
