Karachi: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Thursday has presented a report in Election Tribunal regarding verification of votes in PS-128, constituency of Karachi, in which it failed to verify majority votes in the constituency.
According to details, 45,342 votes had been cast in the polls in which Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member Waqar Hussain Shah won the seat by getting 23,894 votes.
On the other had Muttahida Deeni Mahaz member, Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui got around 21,000 votes and got the second position.
Whereas Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) got 5,500 votes during the polls.
According the report presented in the tribunal, NADRA failed to verify around 20,814 due to non-standard ink used in the polls.
While the NADRA has declared 10,721 votes fake.
