LONDON:Â Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) pilot Tariq Ranjha put the lives of 70 passengers at stake on Sunday as he landed the aircraft at Heathrow airport in London despite bring refused by the control tower.
According to sources, the control tower denied the request of landing the aircraft in the city due to the bad weather and warned Mr. Ranjha about the consequences of such an act.
The control tower kept ordering the PIA pilot to divert the aircraft towards Manchester and Leeds.
Still, Ranjha kept insisting on landing the aircraft in the city citing the reason that medical condition of a passenger, named Qasim Abu Bakar, was deteriorating.
