GUJRANWALA: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday has said that Nandipur Power Project will produce 100 MW power from May this year which helped to reduce energy crisis in the country.
Shahbaz Sharif was talking to media while visiting the site of Nandipur Power Project has said in-charge of the project captain Mehmood with his team including Chinese Engineers were working on the project day and night.
He said despite delay in work on project, performance of Pakistan and Chinese authorities were praise worthily.
Shahbaz Sharif said it was inked with Chinese company to inaugurate first turbine of Nandipur project in November but the team work very quicky and they were hopeful that the electricity generation from this project will be started from May this year.
He said special reward will also be announced for the team who worked on the project.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate first turbine of Nandipur Project. While other project will be innaugrated with two month gap as Pakistan will get around 500 MW electricity in six months..
He said Punjab Government was working on other power generation projects including solar energy project in Bahawalpur.
