Sony has announced that it will release The God of War Collection, which features God of War and God of War 2 on Vita this spring.
God of War and God of War 2 were initially released on PlayStation 2 in March 2005 and March 2007, respectively. Publisher Sony Computer Entertainment then released the God of War Collection for the PlayStation 3 two years later.
Sony has said that the collection will be available both physically and digitally.
Gameplay
God of War is a third-person single player video game viewed from a fixed camera perspective. The player controls the character Kratos in combo-based combat, platforming, and puzzle game elements, and battles foes who primarily stem from Greek mythology, including undead soldiers, harpies, minotaurs, Medusa and her Gorgons, cyclopes, wraiths, satyrs, centaurs, cerberuses, and boss opponents—the Hydra and a giant minotaur known as Pandora’s Guardian.
Release date
Game director and writer Cory Barlog announced on the official PlayStation blog that The God of War Collection, consisting of high-definition re masters of Sony Santa Monica’s God of War and God of War 2, will launch on the PlayStation Vita for $29.99 on May 6.
