Lahore: It is always been cleared that every single person has independent to take its own decision as our two national cricketers Wasim Akram and Umar Akmal has taken different decision when they faced the same situation.
Earlier this month, young Umar Akmal has been arrested and spending an entire day in jail for allegedly beating a traffic warden when he asked to stop for breaking a signal.
The police alleged that Umar Akmal tried to break a signal and also threatened the warden, when he was asked to show his vehicle papers.
While the batsman had refused from all these blames charged against him and said that he was heading off for a program and a police officer stopped him. He also mentioned that the warden hit him on his face.
During that time, his brother Kamran Akmal also shown unhappiness on the situation.
“We are not terrorists and we know and respect the law of the land but this is not the way to treat a Pakistan player like an ordinary criminal for a incident which has been blown out of proportion,” Kamran said.
But one day ago, Lahore traffic police intercepted former captain Wasim Akam’s vehilce at Canal road area of the city for over speed.
The driver of Wasim Akram was driving the car, while he and his wife were also in the car.
Police served him the challan worth Rs. 500 for over speed.
At the moment Wasim Akram did not behave like a proud celebrity and accepted his mistake and handed over his documents to the police.
Akram while accepting his mistake, has said that he was happy to see that the police never left even him for violating the law.
