Washington: As HTC is eyeing to introduce its flagship smartphone HTC M8, now new leaked images indicates the similar design to HTC One.
Android fans have two highly anticipated smartphones launching in the next few weeks. Both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC M8 will be unveiled as their respective company’s 2014 flagship smartphone.
Details regarding both handsets have been leaking extensively over the last couple of months and now that we’re getting into the homestretch, you can expect to hear more reported details for both devices. When it comes to the HTC M8, a new image of the smartphone has popped up on Twitter, giving us a glimpse at the smartphone’s dual UltraPixel rear cameras and dual LED flash.
HTCFamily posted the above image on its Twitter page. The photo matches previous reports that have claimed the HTC M8’s design would be very similar to the HTC One. As you can see in the image, the device looks almost identical to the aluminum-clad HTC One.
The purported render only gives us a look at the back case and we can see dual UltraPixel cameras and dual LED Flash. There is no sign of the rumored fingerprint scanner that was believed to be located under the camera, just like the HTC One max ships with a fingerprint scanner on its rear.
The HTC M8 is expected to launch in late March and be available in four colors. The smartphone is rumored to feature a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display and ship with Android 4.4 KitKat, as well as an updated version of HTC’s Sense UI it on top of Android, similar to Samsung’s TouchWiz.
It will likely be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU) and include 2GB of RAM to keep everything running smoothly. It’s also expected to ship with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards. There have also been some reports that claim HTC will pack a large 2,900 mAh non-removable battery.
As always, it’s always best to take leaked images of unannounced devices with a grain of salt.
