Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have summoned high level party meetings to discuss future planning as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) formed a committee to initiate dialogue process with the government.
TTP had proposed a five-member team, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam cleric Mufti Kifayatullah, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Professor Ibrahim, Lal Masjid’s Maulana Abdul Aziz, and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan to initiate dialogue process with the government on its behalf.
Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, Professor Ibrahim and Maulana Abdul Aziz had already accepted the Taliban offer while PTI chief Imran Khan and JUI-F chief Fazl-ur-Rehman want some time to discuss the situation.
For this purpose, both the parties summoned party meeting to discuss the situation and then will announce the decision.
PTI has the view that Taliban was a autonomous body and it has to decide its members for holding dialogue.
On the other hand, Fazl-ur-Rehman said that it could not understand why TTP did not nominate their own members and its party will take any discuss in the party meeting.
