The recent decision is its likely decision to not to decline petroleum prices in the country, which has a considerably high rates of petroleum products.
The official regulator body, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), has recommended for a decrease in various petroleum prices.
“Reduction in gasoline price of over Rs. 3 was recommended while about Rs. 5 reduction was suggested in Kerosene oil price,” sources said.
But, according to sources, Ishaq Dar’s Finance Ministry has recommended not to decrease the prices.
The government will announce the final decision this night.
