ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis has finally received positive response from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Tuesday (today) regarding issuance of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs).
The Pakistan’s Minister of State for Interior Muhammad Balighur Rehman has took serious notice over delay in issuance of CNIC following the attention moved by Farhana Qamar and others in the National Assembly (NA) today.
The state minister assured the NA that CNICs of Overseas Pakistanis will be issued in 10 days on payment of urgent fee while 40 days time would be needed on paying normal fee.
The Pakistan’s upper house was informed that National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is ensuring CNICs’ issuance to the Overseas Pakistanis on time.
According to reports, the state minister recognised mega delay in the CNICs issuance as the related department failed to fulfil the need of Overseas Pakistanis facing delay of seven months, local media reported.
