HAMILTON: India team has lost its One-Day International (ODI) series after taking defeat in 4th match against New Zealand here on Tuesday at Seddon Park.
Indian batsmen had set 279 runs target losing five wickets for Kiwi’s batsmen in the fourth ODI.
Three Indian players scored a half-century, in which skipper MS Dhoni and opener Rohit Sharma made the highest 79 runs, while Ravindra Jadeja scored 62 runs.
Kiwi bowler Tim Southee took two wickets giving 36 runs in his 10 overs.
New Zealand players chased easily the 279 runs target losing three wickets in 48.1 overs.
Two Kiwi batsmen gave an outstanding performance to get victory in fourth ODI.
Kiwi’s middle order batsmen managed the target easily, in which Ross Taylor knocked the great 112 runs century for team victory and Kane Williamson made 69 runs of half-century.
Ross Taylor got the ‘Man of the Match’ for his unbeaten 112 runs.
India will be playing for pride after losing its series at Wellington on Friday.
