Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday given final ordered the cabinet division to provide a bullet proof vehicle within 24-hours to former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui issued the directive while hearing a plea filed by former president Rawalpindi High Court Bar Association Sheikh Ahsanuddin for provision of security to the former chief justice.
During the course of hearing, Joint Secretary of Cabinet Division, Ziaul-Haq appeared before the court said that a bullet proof vehicle could be given to the former CJ but for only 90 days.
Replying to this, Justice Shaukat Aziz asked him how did you know that Iftikhar Chaudhry has a threat for only 90 days.
He said that former CJ should be given a security like former PM and no leniency would be given regarding this.
