Lahore: Like around the world, in also Pakistan all preparations have been done to celebrate New Year night and for this purpose around 50 thousand bottles of foreign champagne and wines have been stocked illegally.
According to a report published in local newspaper, for last few days, bustle to move the champagne in different hotels continued and suppliers have done their job.
The report revealed that the champagne transferred through cold drink trucks and lower ranks police officers also involved in this crime.
The report further said that the rent for the rooms in different hotels have been increased from 10,000 to 25,000.
‘All rooms have been book and special dance programs also would be arranged for the New Year celebration’, the report quoted sources.
According to the report, interim DIG operation Rana Abdul Jabbar said that police would never give permission to any citizen to act against the law and constitution.
Police will take serious action against those including police officers who found guilty or collaborator to provide champagne and wines.
