Karachi: The nation will pay tribute to Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on his 137th birth anniversary today.
A number of programmes have been chalked out to highlight his guiding principles of unity‚ faith and discipline.
It will be a public holiday and national flag will be hoisted on all public and private buildings.
Qur’an Khwani will be held at the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi and a change of Guard’s ceremony will also be held.
Cadets from the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, will undertake the duty of ceremonial guards at the Quaid’s mausoleum.
Various cultural organisations and educational institutions have chalked out different programmes to highlight the life and political achievements of the great leader.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif in their messages on the occasion have reaffirmed the commitment to the vision and principles of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
