Islamabad: Foreign office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam on Wednesday said that Pakistan wanted to continue friendly relation.
The spokesman has said that Bangladesh is our neighboring Islamic country and Pakistan wants to strengthen ties with it.
In a statement‚ he said Bangladesh should avoid blame game and the two countries should try to strengthen their relations.
On Tuesday, a resolution adopted by the National Assembly of Pakistan expressing concern over the execution of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh leader Abdul Quader Mullah.
Just after the resolution, Bangladesh has summoned Pakistan’s High Commissioner Mian Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi Qureshi in Dhaka to lodge its protest over the resolution.
The tensions between the two countries raised just after the sentence of Mullah, for supporting Pakistan Army in the 1971 war.
