ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to raise gas tariff from next month for industrial and commercial users.
“Domestic user will be exempted from the raise,” Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said while giving a police statement regarding gas load shedding across the country for winter.
The minister said that domestic users would be given priority and then industrial would be considered.
Telling the load shedding of gas across the country, Abbasi reveal that CNG will remain closed for a whole month in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province while other provinces will also be affected.
Earlier, government decides in a high level meeting to twofold the efforts for exploration of gas reserves in a bidd to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.
