Lahore: A report has been presented in Punjab Assembly during questions session on Tuesday which revealed serious irregulatiy happening in Punjab Jails.
The report said that there was a space of around 21527 prisoners but at the time more than 48000 prisoners living in the jail.
According to the report, the prisoners get only rupees 60 by the government of Punjab for the whole day.
The report revealed that serious diseased found in prisoners when the administration took blood test of only 3500. TB found in 103 prisoners, Hepatitis B and C found in 14 prisoners while 50 prisoners declared as AIDS patient.
The experts declared this an alarming situation and said the list of patients in perilous diseases would be increased when the administration took blood test of all the prisoners.
They said that the situation was very deteriorating as majority of prisoners were remain busy in mobile phone which created their life further poorer.
