Islamabad: Minister of state for water and power Abid Sher Ali said that the government was establishing special energy parks, new hydropower projects commencement and formulating new power policy 2013 with the target of eliminating the power shortage in the country till end 2017.
Abid Sher Ali said this while addressing “Korea- South Asia Power Forum”, organized in Islamabad.
He said, Pakistan has been facing an unprecedented energy crisis since the last few years, which has seriously affected its economy and people and elaborated the government short and long term measures to soften the situation like payment of outstanding dues
Chairman Board of Investment, Muhammad Zubair further explained the features of government’s new investment policy and assured the delegates that their investment and partnership with local partners will be protected in all aspects and fast track facilities will be offered regarding security, companies’ registration and consular affairs.
