Karachi: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CIA Sultan Khuwaja has revealed that a group of terrorists arrested who use to send bullets to doctors and business via private courier company for extortion.
Speaking at a press conference in his office, Sultan Khwaja said that the police carried out raids in different areas of the city and arrested eight people involved in different crimes including target killings, gang wars, kidnappings for ransom, extortion and terrorism.
According to the DIG CIA,  scores of weapons was recovered from the suspects’ possession.
Khuwaja revealed that the police arrested a group which was involve to send bullets through private courier service to get more extortion.
He further said that the leader of the group was working a member of the private courier company.
All the suspects were belong to a political party. He said that they confessed to killing ANP & PPP workers & used to send Parchi with a bullet via courier.
Karachi is gripped with targeted killings, gang wars, kidnappings for ransom, extortion and terrorism. Targeted operations led by Rangers’ forces with the support of police are ongoing in the city under a directive issued by the federal government against criminals already identified by federal, military and civilian agencies.
