CENTURION: If legendary batsmen Saeed Anwar, Inzimam ul Haq and Muhammad Yousuf are still playing, where would Misbah ul Haq be standing?
This question has been arisen by a cricket fan as Pakistan competes with South Africa in the third ODI. Playing first Pakistan has given 180 runs target to the Proteas, which is at 111/4 after 24.3 overs till filing of this post.
As usual Misbah has made the largest contribution to Green Shirts, which is 79. No other batsman got a handsome figure.
Does it mean that Misbah is a good batsman? Or the real issue is there is no other batsman in the Pakistani side.
A fan has raised the right perspective.
“As a Pakistani fan it is really absurd to see a war between anti-Misbah and pro-Misbah fans. The thing is that he is a good batsman who has been made to look even better by the incompetency of batsmen around him. If he were playing his trade in the times Saeed, Inzi and Yousuf he would have been just an okay batsman. Things need to be put in perspective.”
