KARACHI: The Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Thursday claimed that the federal government has acknowledged by the presence of 738 missing persons; whom would be recovered before December 10 of this year.
Significant developments has been observed after the strict action of the Supreme Court of Pakistan as newly appointed defence minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif attended the hearing of missing persons’ case in the SC Karachi registry.
The defence minister, while talking with media after the hearing, said that locals’ problems and issue of Balochistan province will definitely be resolved.
Asif added that the government tracked out 738 persons who were missed for a long time, however, all of them will be recovered before December 10.
He confidently claimed before the media that the case will not take years but only few week for its resolution.
It should be mentioned that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry headed four-member larger bench was hearing the missing persons ‘case in the SC’s Karachi registry today.
Earlier, Chief Justice asked the defence minister to present himself before the apex court for providing answers about the missing persons.
The court adjourned the hearing till November 29 (tomorrow).
