ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday has nominated US spy agency, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), chief Craig Houston in drone strike carried in Hangu of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province.
Spokesperson to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Dr. Shireen Mazari, has formally nominated the CIA’s spy chief in the last drone strike in the settled area of Pakistan.
While addressing to a press conference in Islamabad with some human rights’ officials, Mazari claimed that US intelligence agency holding secret operation in tribal areas of Pakistan.
She said that CIA’s station chief in the federal capital city of Pakistan is responsible for the drone strike in Hangu district last week and demanded for the spy official rapid arrestment.
The spokesperson said that Houston have no diplomatic security in Pakistan.
Earlier, the ruling political party of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), filed application on November 25 for nominating US and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as main accused in Hangu drone attack case.
PTI submitted an application nominating US and the prominent intelligence agency as main accused in last drone strike case while the written request was sent to top police official of KPK province.
According to TheNewsTribe representative, PTI’s Suleman Afridi placed the request before Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (IG-KPK) Nasir Khan Durrani on Monday (today).
The Pakistan’s Foreign Office statement, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) decisions and a news report of Washington Post were enclosed with the application as references.
Following the particulars provided by the PTI, IG Nasir Khan Durrani directed the concerned officers to take immediate action after a thorough investigation of the incident.
He added that action would be taken after completion of investigation and verification of the provided evidences as well as the incident.
It should be mentioned that PTI-led KPK government had earlier registered case against the drone attack in Hangu by accusing unknown persons.
PTI provided his stance pertaining its previous move by saying that it was not known whom piloting the spy plane in the attack which lead to the filing of case against some unknown persons.
A US drone strike in northwest Pakistan killed six people including a senior leader of the ruthless Haqqani network, Hameedullah Haqqani, officials said, in only the second such strike outside the country’s lawless tribal districts.
