KARACHI: Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Tuesday has decided to challenge the Sindh High Court (SHC)’s decision in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The largest electric supply corporation in the metropolis commenced consultation with legal experts for challenging the SHC’s decision in favour of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), insider sources told TheNewsTribe.
The sources said that KESC increased the load shedding ratio to the water board on being defaulters, however, the SHC directed the KESC for ending load shedding to the water board in its recent decision.
Earlier, SHC asked KESC for provision of undisrupted supply to KWSB in order to end problems of the locals facing severe water shortage as well as made the payment of Rs700 million dues with a week.
A sources from KWSB revealed that the water board is facing daily 4-hour longed load shedding on pumping stations which increases the menace of water shortage for the locals in Karachi.
