ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Monday has submitted an adjournment motion against US drone attack in Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.
Prominent leader of PPP and Senator, Raza Rabbani, put forward the motion in the secretariat of Pakistan’s upper house, Senate.
The motion said that such attacks in settled areas of the country are considered as severe violation of international laws and sovereignty as well as the issue should be discussed in the senate.
US spy plane had attacked in Tal area of KPK’s Hangu district last week which killed at least 5 persons in Islamic school, Madarrasa, on November 21.
The attack sparked large-scale protests across the country on call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the ruling political party of KPK province, and its coalition partners including Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan (AJIP).
Moreover, the supply routes to foreign troops present in Afghanistan has been blocked since two days following sit-ins on the major render spots in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
