London: British Attorney General Dominic Grieve MP has apologized for his remarks about the UK-based Pakistani community after a serious notice taken by Pakistan High Commissioner in the United Kingdom Wajid Shamsul Hasan.
In a statement he described these remarks as negative and detrimental to the steady growth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The British Attorney General had‚ in an interview with The Telegraph‚ labelled the Pakistani community living in the UK as corrupt.
The High Commissioner said these remarks are contrary to British Prime Minister David Cameron’s repeated appreciation of the constructive role played by Pakistani Diaspora in the economy‚ culture‚ politics and society of the United Kingdom.
