KARACHI: The Tall Man of the Green Shirts has recovered his hip strain injury and has paced up his efforts to face Sri Lanka.
Muhammad Irfan, about 7 feet in height, had to drop his tour to South Africa due to an injury during second Twenty20 against Proteas in Dubai.
However, he has been cleared from any serious injury in a medical test and has been preparing to start his practice after a week’s rest.
The fast bowler, who got seven wickets in two tests and 9 wickets in 05 one-days against South Africa, says he will participate in Departmental T20, to be started from Nov 27, Express Tribune has reported.
Later on, he will face Sri Lanka next month at United Arab Emirates.
“I have set my eye on the target to see Sri Lankan Squad next month in UAE,” he further said.
“Sri Lanka is a tough opponent, yet I want to play a vital role for my team with splendid bowling of mine.”
