NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh congratulated Sachin Tendulkar on giving India historic cricketing moments. He was also nominated for India’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna.
PM of India made a call to ‘little master’ Sachin Tendulkar and congratulated him for valuable contribution to Indian Cricket Team. He also said that he wished the master blaster would have played for many more years to come.
Dr Singh, who made the telephone call to Tendulkar soon after the announcement of the award, wished him many more years of contribution to sports, PMO sources said.
Tendulkar (40) is recipient of Padma Vibhushan – the country’s second highest civilian honour, join a list of 41 eminent personalities to be chosen for the award given in recognition of exceptional service of the highest order since it was instituted in 1954.
