PESHAWAR: The Pakistan’s provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has commenced cabinet meeting under supervision of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Monday (today).
High level meeting is being chaired by the CM KPK Pervez Khattak today in Civil Secretariat in Peshawar, the provincial capital of KPK province.
KPK government would gain confidence of all political parties included in the provincial administration regarding NATO supply closure, law and order situation and anti-drone resolution.
One of the coalition partners of KPK government, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), affiliated ministers found absent during the meeting.
It should be mentioned that KPK government looked firm over imposition of strict action by blocking NATO supply after last US drone strike in its tribal area.
The Chief Minister of KPK, Pervez Khattak, had already announced blocking NATO supply to the military troops in Afghanistan on Sunday.
CM Pervez Khattak said that the supply line will not be resumed until the US government stops drone strike in the tribal areas of Pakistan.
Khattak added that the decision would be applicable after consultation with other political parties.
The decision came forward following the recent drone attack carried out in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) of KPK in which the banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Hakimullah Mehsud was killed.
It should be mentioned that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administered KPK government earlier issued warning to US authorities for closure of NATO supply in case of any drone attack carried out in its tribal areas during the dialogue process with Taliban.
