MOSCOW: The shortage of power is not anything new for Pakistan, and seeing this as an opportunity, major Russian companies have expressed their desire to invest in coal-based power projects.
The Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali had a meeting with the representatives of the power generation companies of Moscow.
‘Technoprom Export’, during the meeting‚ ‘Technoprom Export’ expressed its interest to participate in construction of up to 600 MW new coal-fired unit at Jamshoro and 660 MW coal-fired unit at Gaddani.
 Another Russian company also expressed willingness in the coal based power projects at Jamshoro and Guddu.
