Washington: US carrier Spring announce to offer Samsung’s flagship phablet Samsung Galaxy Mega and flagship mini device Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini from November 8.
The carrier has announced that it will start offering the two hot Samsung smartphones as soon as next week.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega takes the phablet idea to a whole new level by using a 6.3-inch display as its main attraction. The carrier will also launch the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which has been designed to bring the look and some of the features of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4 to a more compact handset with a 4.3-inch display.
The Sprint Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 features a 6.3-inch PLS HD display and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX. The mid-range phablet is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and includes 1.5GB of RAM to provide a fluid user experience. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 ships with 16GB of internal storage and also includes a microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards to add more memory.
The phablet is also packing an 8-megapixel rear camera that can record full HD video and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Its wireless capabilities include a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. Samsung has also included an IR blaster universal remote control with program guide and a large 3,200 mAh removable battery,
The Galaxy S4 Mini features a 4.3-inch 540 x 960 Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch (ppi) and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The handset is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1.5GB of RAM.
It includes 16GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that supports up to 64GB microSD cards. The S4 Mini ships with an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. Its wireless connectivity options include a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. Samsung has included a removable 1,900 mAh battery.
Sprint will begin selling the Samsung Galaxy Mega for $199.99 and the Galaxy S4 Mini for $99.99 beginning on Nov. 8 online and in its retail stores. Check out the official announcement for more details.
