SHARJAH: Pakistani cricket team’s skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq has completed 4,000 runs in his 129th One Day International (ODI) match played yesterday against Proteas and formed a record, The News Tribe reported on Thursday.
Pakistani skipper is only the player in cricket history who made this record without making any century but with an average of 45 runs per match.
On Thursday, in ODI match against South Africa, Misbah also made the new record of eldest ODI captain and eldest skipper of Pakistani cricket team in all three formats including ODI, Test and Twenty20 matches.
On other hands, Saeed Ajmal, one of the Pakistani spinners got his 150th wicket against South African cricket team in ODI played at Sharjah on yesterday.
Unfortunately, Pakistan lost its first ODI match of the five matches’ ODI series against South Africa by one run.
