Washington: We have witness the debut of Nokia’s its first Windows tablet Nokia Lumia 2520, now according to tech giant the device will give the stiff competition to recently launched Surface Pro 2.
Nokia have the good relation with Microsoft since the debut of first Lumia device, but now with the announcement of its first tablet make things difficult for the software giant.
Here are some features of Nokia Lumia 2520 and Surface 2:
The Nokia Lumia 2520 features a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD ClearBlack IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 219 pixels per inch (ppi).
On the other hand Surface Pro 2 supports a 10.6-inch full HD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Both tablets runs on Windows RT 8.1. Nokia Lumia 2520 is powered by a quad-core 2.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, while Surface 2 is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 processor.
Nokia’s tablet include a 32GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 32GB of additional memory. Surface 2 includes a 32/64 GB model with microSD slot.
Lumia 2520 include a 6.7-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, digital 4x zoom and auto focus, as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Surface 2 features a 5 mega-pixels rare and 3.5 mega-pixels front camera.
The Nokia Lumia 2520 will be available in the coming weeks and will be available in choice of red or black for Verizon and black for AT&T. It will be interesting to see which Windows RT 8.1 tablet will be more successful, the Nokia Lumia 2520 or the Microsoft Surface 2.
