KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), leader Haider Abbas Rizvi alleged that MQM activist late Dilshad Ahmed has the torture marks on his body as rangers gave him back to his family after a day of his arrest.
Talking to the media persons at Nine Zero, He said Dilshad suffered had paralysis over neck injuries. “He was unconscious at the time of his admission in a hospital,” Rizvi added.
The MQM leader demanded that steps should be taken for safe recovery of missing MQM workers. He said that eight MQM workers were missing since many months.
MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to workers and supporters to show patience, he added.
Later, Rangers rejected accusations that MQM activist Dilshad Ahmed was killed because of torture.
A spokesman of the Rangers said Dilshad was released on October 25 over medical reasons a day after his detention.
Dilshad was absolutely fine when he was handed over to his brother, the spokesman said.
“We have a video prove of his release and that it can be produced before court,” he said.
