NEW YORK: The issues between India and Pakistan need to be resolved through table talks rather than creating a war frenzy environment. Sensing the issues between the two sides as a critical one, United Nations General Secretary offers his services to the both countries.
General Secretary of UN, Ban Ki-Moon, in an interview said he praises dialogue between India and Pakistan during a session in General Assembly. The outstanding issues between the two countries need to be resolved with appropriate process of dialogue.
The drone strikes lead to civilian causalities which is a matter of concern for the entire world. He urged that this technology must only be used according to international humanitarian law. He said that the UN welcomes and us willing to play its role in the dialogue process between Taliban and Afghan government for restoration of peace and security.
The UN Secretary General also appreciated the role of Pakistani Government for facilitation of 1.6 million refugees from Afghanistan.
