KARACHI: At least 1o people were killed, including a sub-inspector, and other 23 injured in different incidents of targeted killings and currentĀ violenceĀ as Rangers had completed search operations in Lyari, reported on Saturday.
A man, unknown was gunned down by unidentified armed man in Behar Colony of Lyari. Police said the tension has spread in Behar Colony and its adjacent areas after the firing incident.
Two men were killed in a clash between two armed groups in Chakewara area of Lyari.
Earlier, ASI Khursheed was shot dead at Yousuf Goth in Baldia. In another firing incident, one person was killed in Korangi.
One dead body was found dumped in Khajoor Street at Lee Market.
According to media reports, two unidentified were gunned down in Gulistan Colony area of Lyari.
Subsequently, two rival groups exchanged fire and hand grenades. Shakil Commando, member of Baba Ladla Group, was reportedly injured in the clash. Two houses were partially damaged in the clash.
On the other hand, Rangers conducted a search operation in Chakewara, coal godown and Gulistan Colony, and recovered two abductees. Three kidnappers were arrested while huge cache of arms was seized.
The new deadly violence hits Karachi on Saturday morning after Rangers had conducted the searches in operation in different areas of Lyari.
