LUCKNOW: A school girl of eighth class has gang-raped by three village brutes and then burnt alive in the Uttar Pradesh district of India on Tuesday night, Times of India reported.
The minor girl sustained 80 per cent burns and succumbed to injuries in the district hospital on next morning, Indian police said.
The embarrassing incident took place in Sirsa Kalaar area of Orai in the Jalaun district of the state where the victim had gone to a farm to along with her elder sister as three villagers abducted and gang-raped her in a nearby area, according the victim’s family.
The girls received severe threats from the brutes on informing about the abuse which prompted the trio to set her on fire and fled from the location.
Elder sister of the victim managed to raise alarm after reaching back to her village, but when the family arrived at the location the girl had already sustained 80 per cent burns.
According to the police station in-charge RP Pandey, the girl’s family has not lodged an official complaint about the incident.
Indian police have started raiding different location in order to arrest the assailants.
