KARACHI: As many as 63,000 votes, polled in constituency of PS-114 of Karachi, could not be verified, says a report.
National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) report on the voting authenticity in the constituency reveals that over 700 voters cast more than one votes.
Similarly 378 voters, who voted during the election, do not belong to PS-114.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s Irfanullah Khan Marwat won the seat by taking over 37,000 votes from the area. Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rauf Siddiqi, former provincial minister of Sindh, was the runner up.
Siddiqi’s lawyer Barrister Farooq Naseem, who represents MQM in legal affairs, has sought the report from NADRA, officials said.
The report is likely to be used in the tribunal to annul the results on the seat.
