KARACHI: Delimitation and local bodies’ election issues likely to be resolved in Sindh province by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) as significant development has seen on Tuesday.
Senior governmental officials of the Sindh government, MQM’s Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan and PPP affiliated Minister of Local Bodies Owais Muzaffar held important meeting in Karachi.
Both politicians discussed the issues related to delimitation process across Sindh as well as the organisation of upcoming local bodies’ election, sources said.
Sources added that the leaders agreed to begin efforts for resolving all matters regarding the delimitation and municipal elections as well as intercommunicated their partys’ stance.
Earlier, some differences were occurred between the ruling political parties, MQM and PPP, over delimitation in Sindh and imposition of previous local bodies’ act.
However, the insider sources claimed that the leading parties are now taking serious moves for resolving the issues before commencement of local bodies’ poll.
