LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has called on the election tribunal on November 12 in order to record their statements following the petition filed by him against alleged vote rigging on Lahore’s NA-122 constituency.
Imran Khan had filed petition in the election tribunal demanding to annul victory of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on the constituency.
Khan alleged that the Sadiq’s victory was gained via worst vote rigging during the May 11 general election.
The election tribunal asked the Sadiq in its first hearing for submitting their stance till September 18.
It should be mentioned that PML-N’s Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is currently performing his duties as Speaker of the Pakistan’s National Assembly after winning in NA-122 constituency after beating PTI chief Imran Khan.
Ayaz Sadiq started their political career from the platform of PTI but afterwards joined PML-N, the current ruling political party of Pakistan, as well as elected in the National Assembly for the third time.
