PESHAWAR: The Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government on Monday has decided for establishment of separate anti-terrorism force (ATF) in order to eliminate terror activities across the province.
The decision unveiled by the provincial department of interior affairs today which notified the formation of new and independent anti-terrorism force in KPK.
KPK govt’s move for the new force came in light to increase security measures of jails overall situated in the province as well as the force will be acted like a lead force.
The top official of the interior department said that security teams of the specialised force will be ready every time to deal any kind of incident.
According to the interior department, the force will help the government to remove the security lapse found in securing large number of important prisoners present in different jails.
The department claimed that security personnels will be provided by the modern equipment including heavy and light weaponry while provision of bullet proof jackets and helmets will also be made by the higher authorities of KPK government.
