LONDON: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that drone attacks are the voilation of the country’s sovereignty and that the issue will be raised during meeting the US president Barack Obama.
Speaking to media outside his residence in London on Saturday, the PM said that Pakistan had raised the issue of drone attacks at the United Nations.
To a query regarding peace talks with Taliban, the prime minister that all political parties were on one platform with regards to having talks with the Pakistani Taliban.
“We are also working over to improve economic situation of the country and reduce the power shortage,” he said and added that power tarrif will be reduced after increase in the production.
The prime minister would fly to US on Sunday and later meet with Secretary of State John Kerry. He would also meet President Barack Obama at the White House on Wednesday.
