PESHAWAR: Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan on Sunday announced talent hunt schemes for youngsters in FATA and to build new sports stadium in every district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), The News Tribe reported.
Addressing to the closing ceremony of peace cricket match at Arbab Niaz stadium in Peshawar, Imran Khan declared to introduce sports clubs for promotions of sports in KPK on district level.
He said KPK government will introduce under 17 talent hunt schemes in the province to highlight the new talent like Shahid Afridi and Imran Nazir.
Imran Khan appreciated the sacrifices of police against terrorist in KPK.
Pakistan’s cricket legend, ‘Boom Boom’ Shahid Afridi, who is well known for his aggressive batting in the world, slammed 66 runs on just 19 balls in a friendly cricket match against KPK Eleven in Arbab Niaz stadium in Peshawar.
The match was won by Pakistan elevens against KPK elevens. Inzamam ul Haq was leading KPK elevens and other most popular former and current cricketers were also participated in the friendly cricket match.
Chief Minister of KPK, Pervez Khattak and other PTI’s leaders along with Imran Khan were present in the stadium to give appreciations to players.
“I pray to Allah that peace restore in KPK”, Shahid Afridi said on the occasion.
