ISLAMABAD: Exchange of harsh sentences was seen between the Chairman Standing Committee for Water & Power, Senator Zahid Khan, and the Minister of State for Water and Power on Friday during a high-level meeting in Islamabad.
The leaders of upper and lower houses put severe blames on each other which sabotaged the meeting process of the Standing Committee for Water and Power underway in Islamabad.
Regardless of pointing anyone who initiated the ‘fight’, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) affiliated parliamentarian in the National Assembly Abid Sher Ali furiously warned the Zahid Khan, “You cannot order me; you should continue the meeting according to the agenda and don’t try to polish politics here as I am not a servant of anyone.”
While answering to Ali, the Awami National Party (ANP) affiliated Senator Zahid Khan said, “If you have to answer me in this manner; do not come in next session.”
“You abused Pakhtuns and also made arguments with Mola Bakhs Chandio in past; now you are talking with me in same manner”, while continuing the fight, Zahid Khan said.
“You are the one who receive low-cost electricity from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province and sold it back on double prices.”, Khan added.
On the embarrassing event, other members came into ground trying to make the meeting’s environment peaceful.
