JI appoints Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman on top post of Karachi

KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) prominent leader, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has been appointed on the Karachi’s top post of the politico-religious party on Friday.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has been appointed as JI’s Karachi chief, also called Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, by the central leadership of Pakistan on October 11 (today) for 3 years.

Naeem-ur-Rehman would take charge on his post from interim Karachi chief Nizamuddin Memon whose appointment was followed by the previous chief Mohammad Hussain Mehnati’s resignation.

Former Karachi chief Mohammad Hussain Mehnati has voluntarily resigned from his post last month along with other senior leaders including Raja Arif Sultan, Dr Wasay Shakir, Birjees Ahmed, Osama Raza and Farooq Naimatullah.
