When Google launched its first tablet, the Nexus 7, back in 2012, it quickly became one of the top-selling slates due to its low price and high-end specs. The company followed the same recipe for success when it launched the second-generation Nexus 7 in July this year.
Nexus 7 features dual stereo speakers and surround sound powered by Fraunhofer ¹ (the MP3 inventors), so you get rich and immersive audio.
Nexus 7 is made by ASUS and packs a serious punch. With a quad-core Qualcomm SnapdragonTM S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM, everything runs faster, and high-performance rendering ensures 3D graphics are smooth and dynamic.
The Nexus 7 features a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 HD IPS scratch-resistant Corning Glass display with a pixel density of 323 pixels per inch (ppi) and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 2GB of RAM to provide a snappy user experience.
It also has a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. The Nexus 7 comes with stereo speakers with surround sound and Frauhofer audio technology. Its wireless connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The tablet also includes a microUSB port, Slimport for 1080p HDMI output and a microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards. The tablet has wireless charging capabilities out of the box and ships with a 3,950 mAh battery that lasts for up to 9 hours of active use, 9 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing or e-reading, and 300 hours of standby time.
You can pick up the 16GB Nexus 7 from eBay for $214.99 with free shipping, a better price than what Google is currently charging for the same device.
